ABSTRACT:
The initiative to erect a monument in memory of the heroes of the First World War, natives of the commune of Pociumbăuți (Bălți County, today Râșcani District), dates back to the interwar period. In the spring of 2024, the idea of reconstructing the monument was revived by the mayor of the commune of Pociumbăuți, Lorentii Lisevici, and the deputy mayor of the town of Râșcani, Denis Țurcanu, in collaboration with the Monumentum Association of the Republic of Moldova. The monument was inaugurated on 18 July 2025, in the presence of local authorities and representatives of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Moldova.

REZUMAT:
Inițiativa ridicării unui monument în memoria eroilor din Primul Război Mondial, originari din comuna Pociumbăuți (județul Bălți, astăzi raionul Râșcani), datează încă din perioada interbelică. În primăvara anului 2024, ideea reconstituirii monumentului a fost reluată de primarul comunei Pociumbăuți, Lorentii Lisevici, și de viceprimarul orașului Râșcani, Denis Țurcanu, în colaborare cu Asociația Monumentum din Republica Moldova. Monumentul a fost inaugurat la 18 iulie 2025, în prezența autorităților locale și a reprezentanților Ministerului Apărării al Republicii Moldova.
